The
The Competition
This Series is
designed to be a value for money event in terms of table time.
The competition will
be a double elimination style format.
After the first round, players will be split into two brackets of 16,
winners and losers. The winners half
play down to the winners bracket final and this will determine the overall
winner. The losers bracket will also play down to a final with the losers from
the winners bracket entering the loser bracket every second round. This
culminates with the runner up in the winners bracket playing the losers
brackets winner to determine second and third places. The runner up in the losers bracket final
will finish fourth place.
Ranking points
gained from the first 4 events will determine the seeding in the Grand Final. The exact format and order of play can be
seen over the page.

on each event day there will be a speed pool competition. It will cost £1 per frame to enter, unlimited
entries per person. The rules are as
follows:
Each frame will only be counted if timed by an
official and paid for prior to play.
Timing will start when the balls come to rest
from the break.
If the white is potted from the break, timing
will start when the remaining balls on the table come to rest.
If the white is potted out of turn at any time
during the frame, timing will continue and play resume as normal.
The white must be played form the baulk area
of the table as per world rules.
Only the player may retrieve the white from
the ball collection area.
If a player ”catches or stops” the white as it
enters any pocket out of turn the frame is forfeited.
The Black Eight ball must be the last ball
potted to count as a valid frame, only exception is if the black is potted off
the break, play may continue and the player can pot the remaining balls in any
order, as in normal play.
If the black is potted out of turn, the frame
is forfeited.
Timing will stop when the white comes to rest
after the last valid ball is potted.
Times will be rounded to the nearest whole
second.
In the event of joint first place finish,
prize money will be split evenly across number of joint first place finishers.
Qualifying times will remain secret until the
competition closes.
Prize money may be held and paid to the winner
at the next event if they have left early.
Prize money for the winner will be calculated
from number of entries. Some prize money
may be carried into a “Champion of Champions” Series prize pot, where the
fastest time over the five events will earn the winner the title of, “Speed
Pool Series Champ”. Prize money and/or a
